Privacy by design

Your questionnaire answers remain on your device. They are not included in server requests, analytics, URLs, Stripe or Etsy metadata, logs, or license tokens.

Device storage

Guided planner drafts are encrypted in this browser with AES-GCM using a key derived from the passphrase you choose with PBKDF2. You must unlock the draft with that passphrase on a return visit. All planners, including the Family planner, ask for a passphrase before you begin and automatically save encrypted answers on this device. The Family planner also offers an encrypted backup. We do not receive or recover your passphrase.

Older unencrypted guided drafts are encrypted and their original browser copy removed when you choose a passphrase. An older Family session draft is encrypted before its unencrypted session copy is removed.

Printed documents, saved PDFs and CSV exports are not encrypted by the planner. Protect them as you would other sensitive family records. Someone with access to your unlocked browser or device may still be able to view your information; no online tool can guarantee zero risk.

Purchases

Stripe processes direct-site payments. For Etsy purchases, we use Etsy's official API to confirm that an order was paid to the PrepInPeace shop and contains our product. Purchase records contain product and transaction references, but never planner answers.

We never ask for your Etsy password, payment-card information, PIN, security code, or sign-in credentials. The email selected during Etsy verification is used only for PrepInPeace access and purchase recovery.

Information not to enter

Do not enter passwords, PINs, seed phrases, private keys, full Social Security or SIN numbers, security answers, full card numbers, or complete bank account numbers.
